Our Purpose
The Wholesome Crave Mission
Chef Michel Nischan co-founded Wholesome Wave in 2007 to end food and nutrition insecurity in America. He founded Wholesome Crave in 2018 with the same conviction: that food can be genuinely good, at every level. Good to eat. Good to source. Good for the communities it touches. A portion of every sale goes directly to Wholesome Wave's work, making your purchasing decision part of something larger than the menu.

Addressing America's Food Insecurity Crisis
Today, 47.9 million Americans, including 14.1 million children, live in households that can't reliably access fruits and vegetables. Wholesome Wave works to change that by increasing the availability and affordability of produce for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, or zip code. Every Wholesome Crave purchase directly funds this work.
